Argentine Elias set to become JDT's highest paid player?

KUALA LUMPUR: Argentine midfielder Jalil Elias is speculated to be Johor Darul Ta'zim's highest paid player next season if he joins them. He is valued at Є2.8 million (RM14 million).

Argentine sportswriter, Cesar Luis Merlo, posted on social media on Friday: "Elias is set to leave Los Santos as a free agent in January. The 27-year-old is reported to have signed a long-term contract with Malaysian club JDT."

Elias joined Argentine club San Lorenzo in 2021 and had made 108 appearances, scoring four goals and making eight assists.

According to transfermarkt.my, the top five most valuable players in JDT are Jordi Amat (RM4.5m), Fernando Forestieri (RM4m), Takahiro Kunimoto (RM4m), Bergson Da Silva (RM2.5m) and Heberty Fernandes (RM2.5m). Topping JDT's local players list is Arif Aiman Hanapi at Є450,000 (RM2.2m).
