Terengganu put one foot in Malaysia Cup final

KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu took a big step towards the Malaysia Cup final with a 2-1 away win over KL City in the first leg of the semi-finals at KLFA Stadium here today.

Tomislav Steinbruckner's side broke the deadlock in the second minute of stoppage time through Ivan Mamut.

Nik Sharif Haseefy Lazim scored Terengganu's second goal in the 89th minute.

However, KL were awarded a penalty in stoppage time and Tchetche Kipre stepped up to reduce the deficit.

The Turtles will host KL in the return leg on Nov 3.
