KUALA LUMPUR: Sabah's AFC Cup campaign came to a disappointing end following a 3-0 loss to Australia's Macarthur in the zonal semi-final in Sydney today.
Midfielders Ulises Davila and Jed Drew's combination play made the difference for the in-form Bulls as they struck in the 40th and 46th minutes for the home team.
Drew bagged a brace with his 80th-minute goal at the Campbell Town Sports Stadium.
The Rhinos, who last played a competitive match in the M-League on Dec 17, could not match Macarthur, who were on a seven-match unbeaten run.
They are currently third in the Australian League.
Ong Kim Swee's side created chances but could not convert them.
