KUALA LUMPUR: The national futsal team have received four invitations for international friendlies as they prepare for the 2024 AFF Championship.
The invites are from Bahrain, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan.
At the futsal Asian Cup qualifiers last October, Malaysia finished third in Group G after beating Cambodia 5-2 but losing 2-1 to Iraq and 4-3 to Uzbekistan.
Malaysia are now ranked world No. 78 and 19th in Asia.
Meanwhile, the Sabah team, powered by Brazilians Felipe Leite and Joao Gabriel, aim for a top three finish in the Malaysia Premier Futsal League which kicks off today.
