Pitch at National Stadium looks OK

KUALA LUMPUR: The pitch at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil looks 'OK' ahead of tonight's World Cup Group D qualifier between Malaysia and Oman.

From the stands, the condition of the field seems pretty, even though there are 'dark' patches on some parts.

Whether the field holds up will only be known when the match kicks off at 10pm.

On Monday, Oman coach Jaroslav Silhavy revealed both teams were not allowed to conduct official training sessions and that the pitch was not in good condition.

However, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh tweeted that the decision was made by a Fifa match commissioner due to Malaysia's current weather that sees rain in the evenings.
