KUALA LUMPUR: FA of Malaysia (FAM) president Datuk Hamidin Amin expressed deep concern over the incident involving Faisal Halim, who was attacked with acid at a shopping center yesterday (May 5).
He said Faisal suffered injuries to his left hand and the left side of his body as a result of the incident.
He hopes Faisal will remain strong in the face of such an ordeal.
"His condition I would say is very saddening, but I hope Faisal, his wife, and family will remain resilient through this ordeal.
"His legs seem fine with no apparent injuries.
However, the left side of his body, including his ribs and shoulder, was affected," he told reporters after visiting Faisal at a hospital yesterday (May 5).
Hamidin also expressed sadness over the incident involving Terengganu player Akhyar Rashid, who was was attacked last Thursday.
"We hope that those responsible for these incidents will be brought to justice as soon as possible," he said.
