Shahriffuddin strikes again on the PGM Tour

KUALA LUMPUR: There is just no stopping Shahriffuddin Ariffin as he made it three wins in as many tournaments after capturing the PGM Tour's Port Dickson Championship today.

The 22-year-old shot a final round of four-under at the Port Dickson Golf and Country Club to top the 54-hole contest on 12-under 201, two shots ahead of veteran Sukree Othman.

He had also won the PGM Maybank Championship in March and PGM Kia Championship last month.

Shahriffuddin picked up his third RM21,000 winner's cheque, bringing his season earnings to RM75,600 from four events. He had also pocketed RM12,600 from his third place finish in the season-opening PGM Tun Ahmad Sarji Trophy.

Kim Leun Kwang (74) and Amir Nazrin Jailani (66) came in joint third on matching 205s, with M. Sasidaran finishing a further shot back in fifth.

Amateur Marcus Lim, a member of Malaysia's Hanoi Sea Games gold-winning team, closed with a 73 to finish a creditable joint fifth with R. Nachimuthu (70) on 208.

Rookie professional Ervin Chang backed up his second place at the PGM Kia Championship last month with a top-10 finish, coming in joint eighth on 210 with Muhazim Bakhtiar, Kemarol Baharin and Danny Chia.
