KUALA LUMPUR: Up-and-coming golfers Putri Natasha Ameera Roslee and Anessha Eva Velu made Malaysia proud at the Bangladesh Amateur Championships in Dhaka last week.
Putri Natasha topped the Ladies Champion category, while Anessha finished second in the Ladies Group category at the Kurmitola Golf Club.
Irfan Zaini and Azka Azhari made up the national junior team.
The tournament attracted top young golfers from South Korea, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Australia.
Malaysia Golf Junior Association (MGJA) Datuk Seri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim congratulated the winners and thanked the coaches and staff for the successful outing.
"Congratulations to Putri Natasha Ameera Roslee and Anessha Eva Velu for their outstanding achievements in Dhaka," he said in a statement.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the coaches and staff of the MGJA who worked tirelessly to ensure this success.
