Azrai scores five goals as Tenaga thrash Armed Forces

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional striker Azrai Aizad Abu Kamal fired in five goals as they whipped Armed Forces 13-0 in today's Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) match at National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The 24-year-old, who missed the World Cup last year due to a fractured finger, netted in the 11th, 16th, 17th , 59th and 60th minutes. He is the tournament's leading scorer with 24 goals from nine matches.

With the win, Tenaga have 22 points after nine matches and are second in the standings.

"I have never scored five goals in my career, so it is a memorable day for me.

"I am happy with my performance, but what is really important is helping Tenaga win at least one title this season," said Aizad, who scored 15 goals for Tenaga last season.

"I hope to continue my momentum and win the top scorer's award.

Terengganu, meanwhile, outplayed TNB Thunderbolts 3-0, also in Bukit Jalil, to top the standings with 25 points from eight wins and a draw.
