KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will face China in the men's Hockey Olympic Qualifier Group A opener in Muscat, Oman, on Jan 15, next year.
The Speedy Tigers' second match will be against world No. 4 Great Britain on Jan 16.
They will wrap up their fixtures against Pakistan on Jan 18.
Group B consists of world champions Germany, Canada, New Zealand and Chile.
The top three teams will qualify for the Paris Olympics.
In the Hangzhou Asian Games, Malaysia drew 4-4 with China, and were outplayed 5-2 by Pakistan in the fifth placing match.
