Moto3 racer Adam gears up for Australian GP

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Moto3 racer Adam Norrodin admitted that speed alone will not be enough at the Phillip Island circuit, as he will also have to be brave in facing 12 challenging corners.

In his maiden season last year, the SIC Racing Team rider finished in 11th place at the Australian GP.

It was also Adam's joint best finish of the season after coming in 11th at the Argentina GP in April last year.

One year down the line, and Adam makes a return to Phillip Island feeling more confident, as he gears up for the end of the season in Valencia in November.

"It's an exciting track. It's wide and there are really fast corners. You have to be brave and I like it.

"Last year, one of my best finishes was at this track. However, it was also my first season and I was still getting used to it.

"I am much more confident now and my bike is also in good condition. There will be a huge group of riders as there won't be much space to overtake them.

"Expect it to be a great race," said Adam.

For the record, Adam is currently joint No 20th on the overall championship standings on 29 points. Spain's Juan Mir leads the standings on 271 points.

Following the Australian GP on Sunday, the 17th round of this season will be held at the Sepang International Circuit on Oct 29.
