Adam aims to rediscover 2017 form at Silverstone

KUALA LUMPUR: With his future in the team very much in the balance, Moto3 rider Adam Norrodin hopes to recreate the form he showed at the British Motorcycle Grand Prix last year when he returns to the Silverstone circuit this weekend.

Adam's place in Petronas Sprinta Racing team next season will depend heavily on how he performs in the remainder of the season.

And having finished out of the points in the last two races in Austria and Czech Republic, he will be keen put his season back on track.

“I feel really fresh going to Silverstone, I have been training hard in Spain (where Adam is based) for this weekend, so I feel prepared. The Silverstone track is a combination of fast straights and stop and go characteristics," said the 20-year-old.

"It’s not the easiest circuit, but I had quite a good race there last year when I went from 25th (grid) to finish in 12th. It was probably one of my best races in 2017.

"One of the main things I need to focus on this weekend is my qualifying.

"I know that I can race well at this track, so I need to make sure I start from a good position and have the best possible chance to fight with the front guys.”

Adam, who is competing in his third full season in the lightweight class, is currently 21st in the overall Moto3 standings with 24 points.

Petronas teammate Ayumu Sasaki (Japan) is 18th on 32 points following his seventh place finish at the Red Bull Ring a fortnight ago.
