ORGANISERS of the Formula Four Southeast Asia (F4SEA) series expect to host all four rounds of this year's championship at the now-reopened Sepang Circuit.
F4SEA boss Peter Thompson disclosed that an official announcement will be made, pending approval from the FIA.
Motorsports is allowed to resume under Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
The championship is likely to run without spectators in line with the current CMCO guidelines.
"The proposed 16-race 2020 season will feature all four rounds at Sepang to minimise risk at a cost-effective fee of €40,000 (RM187,500)," said Thompson.
"We hope to have an F4 academy event in July (no FIA points) and start the official F4SEA programme in August but subject to KLIA's reopening as our drivers are flying in from all over the globe.
"Fans will not miss a moment of action as the races will be live-streamed and broadcast on FOX Network. Our new website and social media accounts will also offer updates."
F4SEA, usually held across tracks in Southeast Asia, is an established series, which acts as a development platform for drivers looking to move up the ranks in single-seater racing.
Malaysian driver Nazim Azman, who won the F4SEA Malaysian round finale in 2017, has since gone on to win the British F3 Championship.
Sepang Circuit reopened its doors on Tuesday after two months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Strict guidelines, however, are now in place as a preventative measure to combat the spread of the disease.
All track users must register and undergo temperature screening before entering the circuit, social distancing of at least one metre must be adhered to while not more than 10 people, including competitors and crew, are allowed per session.
Track users must also use hand sanitisers and masks provided by Sepang International Circuit. Fadhli Ishak
