Malaysia’s Moh Keen and Reza Hassan also lost their respective last eight matches.
Former Sea Games champion Keen Hoo squandered a 4-3 lead as he lost 5-4 (8-91, 21-90, 84-13, 64-35, 38-61, 78-17, 1-68, 74-10, 65-25) to China’s former world junior champion, LV Haotian.
Reza failed to pose a threat in his 5-2 (79-39, 80-0, 75-40, 2-56, 81-26, 0-113, 68-52) defeat to Pakistan’s Mohammad Bilal.
