(Badminton) M'sia's Goh Jin Wei charges into finals of Taiwan Open Grand Prix Gold

KUALA LUMPUR: Third seed Goh Jin Wei reached the women's singles final of the Taiwan Open Grand Prix Gold on Saturday.

The World No 44 showed composure and determination to overcome unseeded Haruko Suzuki of Japan 21-16, 21-17 in the semi-finals in 46 minutes.

Jin Wei will be bidding to win her first Grand Prix Gold event when she plays either Japan's Saena Kawakami or Natsumi Shimoda in the final on Sunday.

In the men's doubles, fourth seeds Chooi Kah Ming-Low Juan Shen of Malaysia failed in the semi-finals, losing 21-14, 19-21, 21-13 to second seeds Chen Hung Ling-Wang Chi Lin of Taiwan.
