KL2017: Malaysia sweep diving gold

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's diving campaign took off on a springy note, when a clean sweep of three gold medals was made at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil today.

Olympian Ng Yan Yee kiced off the campaign by winning the women's 3m Springboard gold on 342.90 points while team-mate Nur Dhabitah Sabri won silver on 311.25 points.

Then the men broke water, Olympian Ooi Tze Liang won his eighth Sea Games gold medal when he scored 458 points in the men's 3metre Springboard. Team-mate Ahmad Amsyar Azman won silver on 432.25 points.

And in the team event, introduced for the first time in the Games, Pandelela Rinong and Gabriel Gilbert Daim won gold on a combined score of 345.40 points.
