Malaysia's Timmy Tan rolls perfect game in Storm Cup

TIMMY Tan rolled his way to a perfect game in the seventh to top squad A at the Storm Cup in Gyeonggi, South Korea today.

The 23-year-old is out to make amends following a winless season so far and is proving his worth as he reeled in lines of 300-279-212-237-190-172 for a 2,875 total.

“Timmy bowled very well and hopefully he can maintain his form until the final,” said coach Ben Heng.

Like Timmy, Sin Li Jane is also through to the next round after topping squad C with 2,540 pinfalls.

Progressing alongside Timmy and Li Jane to the next round is Rafiq Ismail who amassed a six-game total of 2,652 pinfalls in squad A.

The 20-year-old posted lines of 221-248-202-193-198-227 to finish sixth.

Seasoned campaigner Shalin Zulkifli also made the next round on 2,814 pinfalls.

Timmy, Rafiq, Shalin and Li Jane will bowl another six-games for spots in the match play round tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Korean tournament offers a total prize purse of 100million Won (RM376,000).
