KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu Hockey Team (THT) striker Faizal Saari wants to win everything on offer in the Malaysian Hockey League (MHL).
Faizal believes his team have the depth to win the league and as for his personal goal, he hopes to emerge as the top scorer in the tournament.
After five matches, Faizal, a national player, has netted six goals and is currently placed third on the leading scorers list.
Universiti Kuala Lumpur’s (UniKL) Jeroen Dolf Hertzberger and THT’s Gonzalo Peillat are the league’s leading scorers with seven goals each.
“My main focus is to help THT with the MHL and also retain the TNB Cup,” said Faizal on Monday.
“It would be great, however, if I can top the leading scorers chart.
“It is my fifth season with THT and things are looking very good.
“We have a better team compared to last year’s squad.
“I am playing my best hockey and I hope to continue my momentum in upcoming matches.”
THT will entertain UniKL in a MHL match in Kuala Terengganu on Wednesday.
