Chiow Chuan: KLHC thrive when the pressure cooker is on

KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur Hockey Club (KLHC) are experts in handling pressure.

And the heat will be on for KLHC as they must win their remaining two matches to retain their Malaysian Hockey League (MHL) Premier League crown.

However, it will not be easy as several regulars will not be available.

They play Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) on Wednesday and league leaders Terengganu Hockey Team two days later.

"We have been handling pressure well. The team have to maintain their form for both matches," said KLHC coach Lim Chiow Chuan.

Razie Rahim and Nabil Fiqri Mohd Nor have job commitments while Australian Nicholas Budgeon will be suspended for Wednesday's game.

National player Izad Hakimi Jamaluddin is down with a knee injury.

"I believe efforts are on going to secure Razie and Nabil's release for the remaining matches.

"I am hopeful as their presence will certainly strengthen the team” said Chiow Chuan.

"My players need to be composed for the upcoming matches."

On TNB, Chiow Chuan said: "It will be another tough match."

"We just need to maintain our performance level," he added.
