BUKIT JALIL: The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) are keeping their fingers crossed that the International Hockey Federation (FIH) will not delay the doping hearing of national goalkeeper S. Kumar.
MHC are expecting a date by the end of the month.
Kumar was tested positive for sibutramine during the Asia Cup in Dhaka in October.
"This matter is out of our hands. The only thing we could do was to request for an early hearing from the FIH. They had asked for 21 more days as well as more documents.
"We provided them the documents as well as an affidavit. We are now waiting for a hearing date from the FIH," said MHC president Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal after the joint working committee meeting with the National Sports Council.
