KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) president Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal confirmed on Monday that goalkeeper S Kumar is available for national duty after serving a six-month doping suspension.
Kumar tested positive for sibutramine during last year’s Asia Cup in Dhaka.
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) informed the Malaysian Hockey Confederation over the decision last week.
Subahan said FIH decided to suspend Kumar for only six months (Oct 16 - April 15) without having to attend a hearing.
