KUALA LUMPUR: Twentytwo13’s inaugural 5km “Sila Lari, Jangan Duduk” Fun Run at Padang Merbok here on Sunday attracted a total of 837 participants.
Among those who took part were Olympic Council of Malaysia president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria, FA of Malaysia secretary general Stuart Ramalingam, former national athletes Moh Siew Wei and Noraseela Khalid and members of Istana Negara.
“I want to congratulate Twentytwo13 for this inaugural fun run and I think this is a very good effort to promote the importance of being healthy.
" It should be an annual event. I think it will get bigger and bigger.
“I enjoyed it, I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish but I did it in 35 minutes
"Sports leaders should get involved in this kind of activity, not just to flag off or give prizes but also participate in its activities,” said Norza.
The event was supported by the Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur Athletics Association (FTKLAA), 100Plus, Kuckreja & Co, Mesuma Sports Sdn Bhd, Asiana.my, One Championship, Genesis Fortis, TrueStart Coffee and Rantau PR.
