Bowler Natasha Roslan struggled with consistency as she dropped a rung in the qualifying round of the AMF World Cup in Palembang yesterday.
Having started the day as the overnight leader on 1,306 pinfalls, World Cup debutante Natasha couldn’t get her rhythm going as she posted lines of 192, 234, 193, 219, 182, 217 for a two-day 2,543 total after 12 games at the Jakabaring Sports City.
American professional Kelly Kulick leads with a 2,610 total, followed in third place by two-time winner Aumi Guerra of the Dominican Republic (2,493).
The 23-year-old Natasha was not pleased with her performance.
“I am not very satisfied. Al though it was more difficult than yesterday (Monday) on the lanes, I felt I could have done better.
“But at least now I know what to expect in the next two days of qualifying.
“As a first-timer, the World Cup is quite challenging. There are so many good bowlers here and it is distracting me a bit.
“I will have to minimise the distractions and continue to focus on my own game.”
In the men’s competition, veteran Adrian Ang will be ruing his dismal effort in the 12th game which cost him a good chance to climb the standings.
The 31-year-old, who started the day in 24th position, was hovering around the 11th spot after the 11th game.
But his form fell to bits in the last game of the day, throwing down a poor 146 for a 2,401 total.
