HANOI: Compound archers Juwaidi Marzuki-Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Salleh secured a first gold for Malaysia at the Hanoi Sea Games today.
The duo edged Philippines' Jennifer Dy Chan-Paul Marton Santos Dela Cruz 151-150 in the final at the Hanoi National Training Centre.
Thailand secured the bronze after defeating Vietnam 154-153.
Juwaidi, Alang Ariff Aqil Ghazali and Wong Co Wan had earlier claimed silver in the men's team event following a 230-229 defeat to Indonesia in the final.
The Philippines took the men's team bronze by beating Thailand 231-229.
