KUALA LUMPUR: The fifth edition of the Klang Hockey Fest will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Synergy Hockey Club.
The tournament will comprise the veterans' tournament on Saturday and the open category on June 25 at the Pandamaran Stadium in Klang.
Sixteen teams will battle for the RM4,500 prize money in the Open tournament. The champions will also receive the Anthony Ravindra Arulanantham Challenge Trophy.
The nine-a-side veterans' tournament will feature 12 teams. The organisers will also host a fundraising dinner at the Klang Executive Club after the veterans' tournament.
The late Anthony Ravindra played for Selangor and was instrumental in their Razak Cup victory in 1984. He died in October 2019.
The former winger, who was active in the state's Under-11 development programme, also played for the national team.
Anthony Ravindra also featured for Synergy Hockey Club in various tournaments and previous editions of the Klang Hockey Fest.
