Thunderbolts ready for battle

KUALA LUMPUR: The battle of four Thunderbolts in Division One of the Junior Hockey League (JHL) begins tomorrow with no other challengers in sight yet again.

Last season, the League title was won by Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) Thunderbolts while in the Overall title final, Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts beat BJSS Thunderbolts 4-1.

The other two Thunderbolts in Division One, fully sponsored and trained by Tenaga Nasional, are Anderson and Pahang Sports School.

Meanwhile, KL Sikh Sports RC claimed their third consecutive victory today when they beat Negri Sembilan Seniors 2-1 at the Seremban II Stadium.

Negri took the lead off a penalty corner attempt from Aiman Firdaus in the 11th minute, but field goals from Harjeevan Singh (25th) and Harsuraj Singh (38th) sealed three points.

In earlier matches, KL Sikhs beat KL Sports School 4-1 and D'Touch 4-0.
