KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian contingent for the Hangzhou Asian Games from Sept 23-Oct 8 have been set a total medal target of 27 medals.
The Sports Ministry has not set any gold medal target to avoid putting any undue pressure on the national contingent.
Malaysia have already "lost" 12 medals (won from the previous edition in Indonesia) due to certain events not being held this time in Hangzhou.
