KUALA LUMPUR: Karateka Lovelly Ann Robbert has guaranteed Malaysia an Asian Games medal in Hangzhou.
Lovelly qualified for tomorrow's women's individual kata final - which means she will get a silver at least.
Lovelly topped Group 1 in Round 2 today with 40.40 points. In Round 1, she finished second out of eight contestants with 38.60.
Meanwhile Sea Games champion R. Sharmendran will fight for the bronze in the repechage rounds after losing 4-3 to Kazakhstan's Asian champion Nurkanat Azhikanov in the men's kumite below 75kg semifinals.
