National No. 3 Aifa Azman advanced to the quarter-finals with a hard fought 11-9, 11-1, 8-11, 7-11, 11-4 win over France's Marie Stephen in the second round.
Fourth seed Aifa will face eighth seed Lee Ka Yi for a place in the semi-finals.
Aifa's younger sister, Aira lost in the second round to fifth seed Lucy Beecroft, 11-8, 11-13, 9-11, 12-10, 11-13.
Veteran Low Wee Wern went down 4-11, 7-11, 8-11 to top seed Nele Gilis of Belgium.
