BUENOS AIRES: Argentina celebrated the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Dragon in a festival with dragon dance performances in Buenos Aires on Saturday (Feb 3).
China's ambassador to Argentina Wang Wei partook in the event by drawing the eyes on one of the dragons.
In the Chinese culture, the dragon symbolises new opportunities and beginnings, said the festival's director Carolina Shang.
Due to its symbology, this year people are encouraged to face new challenges, she added. — REUTERS
