KUALA LUMPUR: A 35-year-old Singaporean male nurse was sentenced to 16 months' imprisonment plus four strokes of the cane for molesting a patient, today.
Ivan Lee Yi Wang was found guilty by the Singaporean court after he was charged with two counts of molesting the male patient in 2018 at a private clinic at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.
Lee denied the charges, and his lawyers said he would file an appeal to the High Court against the sentence and conviction.
Lee also claimed that the victim, who was 26 at the time of the alleged crime, was biased against him and had imagined things due to being under the influence of a sedative.
