KUALA LUMPUR: Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming wants the spirit of unity and gratitude to be fostered during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The Teluk Intan member of parliament and DAP chief whip said unity in diversity has always been the Malaysian way of life.
"Whether it is Christmas, Chinese New Year or Deepavali, let us celebrate together with open hearts. Unity in diversity — stronger together.
"From my office to your family in kampung, we humbly and joyfully wish everyone Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin," he said in a Facebook post today.
Nga added that now was the time for the people to strengthen friendships and unity while being mindful of their health.
"Those going home to your respective hometowns, I hope you will be careful as you make your way," he added.
