KEPALA BATAS: The body of a man, feared drowned, after jumping into the river next to the Kompleks Pasar Bisik Ikan in Kota Kuala Muda near here yesterday to escape police, was found today.

The remains of the 37-year-old man were recovered in the waters off Pulau Sayak in Kedah at about 9.30am.

Seberang Prai Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Radzi Ahmad said police received information about the discovery of the remains in Pulau Sayak this morning, about 10km from where the man had jumped.
