Penang DAP announces new party posts

GEORGE TOWN: Penang DAP has made several changes to its state committee line-up, after the state elections.

State DAP secretary Lim Hui Ying said Jagdeep Singh Deo, who was the state DAP vice-chairman, will take over from Dr P. Ramasamy for the state deputy chairman post.

Ramasamy quit the party prior to the state elections.

She said Jagdeep's place was taken over by state publicity secretary Steven Sim Chee Keong while state committee member Heng Lee Lee was appointed to Sim's previous post.

"The state DAP committee met on Sept 21 to discuss the state committee composition after the state elections.

"And there were changes to the three posts for the 2021-2024 term," she said.

In the state elections, DAP retained all 19 state seats the party contested in.
