Kuantan pothole poses grave risk to motorists

CUSTOMERS of a fast-food restaurant in Indera Mahkota 8, Kuantan, are worried about a pothole in the middle of a road near the outlet.

The pothole, measuring nearly 1m in diameter, is also a concern for customers of other restaurants who use the same road.

Customer Farahin Abdul Rahman said the pothole caused problems to motorists.

“Sometimes, I can hear loud sounds as a result of vehicles hitting the pothole, especially those who are heading for a nearby parking lot,” said the 21-year-old college student.

ACTIONLINE:

A spokesman of the Kuantan Municipal Council said it would patch up the pothole as soon as possible.

Later, another MPK representative said the pothole had been covered up.

Checks by the ‘New Straits Times’ confirmed that repairs had been carried out.
