Wet walkway a great discomfort

KUALA LUMPUR: An overflowing drain in Jalan Riong, near the exit to Jalan Bangsar, is causing a problem for pedestrians.

Huge puddles form on the road after a downpour, forcing pedestrians to walk on the road.

Pedestrians use that stretch to get to the Bangsar light rail transit station.

A reader, who wanted to be known only as Diana, said the problem might be caused by a clogged drain. She urged the local authority to provide a proper walkway for pedestrians.

“We have to manoeuvre the puddles and risk our lives evading speeding cars in Jalan Riong,” she said.
