Upset over abandoned car in Section 11

A VEHICLE has been abandoned for more than a month, causing a nuisance to the residents of Jalan Bukit 11/12, Section 11, Petaling Jaya.

Tam Yeng Siang said he first saw the vehicle at the spot in October.

“All four tyres have been stolen.

“It has been left near the shophouses.

“Other than being a nuisance, the car could also be a breeding ground for mosquitoes.”

ACTIONLINE:

A Petaling Jaya Municipal Council (MBPJ) spokesman said its enforcement officers would tow away the car.

“We were just informed of the abandoned vehicle. The owner has already been contacted and we will tow away the car if he does not move it within 14 days.

“Our enforcement officers must follow the standard operating procedure where a 14-day notice will be issued to the owner.’’

The spokesman added that MBPJ had towed away a total of 1,077 abandoned cars so far this year.
