Repair potholes at parking area near food court

THE massive flood in George Town, in November last year, not only inundated major parts of the state but also damaged properties and public amenities.

One such space was the parking area near a food court at Lilitan Stadium, in Jalan Perak.

Many potholes have emerged after the floodwater subsided, and the situation has worsened over the months.

Whenever it rains, water fills up the potholes causing unsuspecting pedestrians to accidentally step into them causing minor injuries.

The calf-deep drain near the food court is uncovered.

Those who frequent the food court want the authorities to repair the damaged areas.

“It is sad that a good eating place has such a badly-maintained road,” said a complainant who wanted to remain anonymous.
