THE gate leading to a recreational park at Taman Tasik Shah Alam, Selangor, was restored by the local authorities earlier this month. However, it has fallen into disrepair again.
Resident Kamaruddin Hassan said the gate was tilting on one side after its hinges broke.
“It is not only an ugly sight, but if the gate is not repaired soon, it may fall on someone.
“The local authority should conduct checks and maintenance on public amenities.”

Shah Alam Municipal Council, through its Landscape Department, has assured the public that it would carry out maintenance work on public amenities.
A spokesman said the gate would be repaired soon to ensure the safety of park visitors.
“Maintenance work on public facilities, especially at Taman Tasik Shah Alam, will be conducted for everyone’s convenience.”
