Malaysia Airlines to maintain its fleet size next year

PETALING JAYA: National carrier Malaysia Airlines has no plans to increase its fleet size next year, said chief executive officer Peter Bellew.

“There will be no increase in the size of our fleet next year as we are in the midst of decreasing our narrow bodies aircrafts for new wide bodies aircrafts,” he said during a press briefing, here.

The national carrier now operates 21 widebody aircraft which include six A380s and 15 A330-300s.

Bellew also squashed rumours that he was leaving Malaysia Airlines for Ryanair.
