Malaysia Airlines runs year-end sale for 2024 holidays, until Dec 20

MALAYSIA Airlines invites travellers to plan their holidays through to the new year with its Year-End Sale.

The campaign, ongoing until Dec 20, offers ticket prices from RM79 to all domestic destinations and from RM229 to international destinations.

Since the travel period for the Year-End Sale is up to Sept 30, 2024, travellers can start planning for next year's seasonal holidays like Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and school holidays.

These include: 

  • Chinese New Year: Feb 10 to 12
  • Hari Raya Aidilfitri: Apr 10 to 11
  • School Holidays: May 24 to Jun 2
  • Hari Raya Haji: Jun 17
  • School Holidays: Sept 13 to 21
  • Prophet Muhammad's Birthday and Hari Kebangsaan: Sept 16 to 17

Holiday goers can snag all-in one-way Economy Class flight tickets at RM229 (from Kuching to Singapore), RM249 (from Kuala Lumpur to Kertajati) and RM299 (from Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi-Minh City) for selected Asean routes.

Those hoping to take advantage of the 15-day visa-free entry for Malaysians travelling to China can purchase all-in return Economy Class flight tickets from RM1,099 (to Guangzhou), from RM1,599 (to Shanghai) and from RM1,699 (to Beijing).

Malaysia Airlines has also recently launched routes to Amritsar, Trivandrum and Ahmedabad, with all-in return Economy Class flight tickets from RM999.

Other international destinations on promo include Bengaluru from RM1,139, Hong Kong from RM1,399, Perth from RM1,959 and Auckland from RM3,599, for all-in return Economy Class flight tickets.

Coinciding with the recent news of the 30-day visa-free entry for visitors from India to Malaysia starting from Dec 1, the airline is set to enhance connectivity on the Kuala Lumpur — Amritsar route.

Starting Jan 15, 2024, the airline will increase the frequency of flights on this route from two times to four times weekly, with flights now available for booking. 

Besides these promos, Malaysia Airlines passengers can opt for Economy Flex Fare, designed to provide added flexibility and convenience.

The Economy Flex Fare includes a 7kg cabin baggage allowance, 35kg of checked baggage, standard seat selection, ticket rebooking or changes without any fees, complimentary meals and more. Additionally, passengers opting for this fare can enjoy perks such as Priority Check-in, Priority Boarding and Priority Baggage, enhancing the overall travel experience.

For those seeking a premium travel experience, the Business Class fare offers a 40kg check-in baggage allowance, two cabin baggage allowances of 7kg each, free seat selection, complimentary meals, and priority services for check-in, boarding and baggage handling. Business Class passengers can also access Malaysia Airlines' top-notch lounges at KL International Airport.

Travellers can further enhance their journey by taking advantage of various add-ons, including a 20 per cent discount on extra baggage, access to the Golden Lounge, value bundles (standard seat + 10kg extra baggage), premium bundles (extra legroom seat + Golden Lounge access), as well as 20 per cent bonus Enrich Points on bookings and discounts on MHinsure and selected brands on Temptations.
