KUALA LUMPUR: Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd has been issued a stop-work order on its KBR Catalytic Olefins Technology catalytic cracking reactor within its TE3 project from the Department of Environment (DOE).
In an exchange filing today, Lotte Chemical Titan said the order is to mitigate and reduce odour emission and eliminate surface oil sheen or film discharge.
“We are attending to thee remedial actions and will provide an update in due course,” it said.
The company said the commission and commercial startup of its TE3 project remains on target by the fourth quarter this year.
It said the stop-work order is also not expected to have a material effect on its company’ earnings, net assets and gearing for the financial year ending December 31, 2017.
