XOX inks agreement with Indonesian partners to develop NU Mobile

KUALA LUMPUR: XOX Media Sdn. Bhd, PT Inovasi Telematika Nusantara & Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama/NU Digital Services signed a collaboration partnership in Jakarta, Indonesia to develop an integrated telecommunications mobile app, NU Mobile.

In a statement released recently, XOX Media said the partnership would allow NU Mobile to be used by Nahdlatul Ulama’s (NU) 94 million members across Indonesia with services that includes e-wallet functions and sim-less messaging mobile app with GSM capability for its users.

Nahdlatul Ulama, NU, is the largest Islamic Organisation in the world established back in 1926 at Indonesia.

NU Mobile will enable its 94 million members to engage various services like e-banking feature with e-wallet capabilities for online transactions including billings and purchases, communicating with the government, education and much more.

Through this collaboration, XOX Media would have the opportunity expanding to Indonesia for their e-wallet and Voopee mobile app, the world’s first mobile app that converges GSM and IP technology allowing a sim-less phone number to make,receive voice calls and send and receive SMS to regular mobile phone numbers.

XOX Media are subsidiary of XOX Berhad. Locally, XOX Berhad will kick-start its e-wallet service in Malaysia in the first-quarter of 2018.
