Line Clear Express inks agreement with MBE

KUALA LUMPUR: Line Clear Express & Logistics Sdn Bhd, a homegrown courier company, recently signed a strategic channel partnership with Mail Boxes Etc (MBE) to expand their services to retail customers.

The collaboration aims to evolve the local courier industry, promote both brand names to a wider audience, and further impact their presence in the Malaysian courier, express, and parcel markets.

It will also focus on maintaining Line Clear Express' courier delivery services.

Line Clear Express chief executive officer Jeff Chong said the channel partnership with MBE represents a milestone for Line Clear Express.

"We are expanding our customer base to include not only multinational companies (MNCs) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) but also the retail consumer market. This partnership thus aligns with our overall market penetration efforts," he said in a statement.

The company owns an extensive local network comprising a fleet of more than

800 vehicles, 15 hubs, 29 depots and 99 stations, including several warehouses.

Meanwhile, MBE will look to strengthen its standing as the country's leading franchise network in retail shipping, postal, printing, and business centres.

Now into its eighth year in the market, Line Clear Express is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bursa Malaysia-listed MMAG Holdings Bhd.

MBE, headquartered in Milan, Italy, is a third-party shipping, fulfilment, printing and marketing provider.

There are more than 200 MBE outlets nationwide, with 152 in Klang

Valley in almost every major town, commercial area, and shopping mall.

MBE Malaysia chief executive officer Patrick Leung welcomes the chance to work with Line Clear Express and share their services, technology and infrastructure.

"This partnership aims to create a synergy that goes beyond business. It is about enhancing the services we offer to

you, our valued customers.

"We also believe our collaboration will introduce even more valuable services that leverage the best of both MBE Malaysia and Line Clear Express," he said.

According to the industry website Mordor Intelligence, the industry is expected to grow from US$1.32 billion this year to US$2.55 billion by 2028.

The partnership also saw the launch of Line Clear Express' new product, Value 6.9.

This targets customers shipping items less than 6kg via the new Value6.9 yellow courier flyer bag.

It provides an all-you-can-fit concept for only RM6.90, which means that there is no longer a need to weigh or measure sent items.

The launch of Value6.9 aligns with Line Clear Express' 'Takyah Ukur, Takyah Timbang' campaign.

The initiative incorporates the company's PremiumBox and FreshBox range to give customers greater value.
