Kelab Nuri Bank Rakyat targets 1.2 million members by end of 2018

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Rakyat is targeting 1.2 million members to join its Kelab Nuri Bank Rakyat by the end of next year.

Senior vice-president of marketing and communications Nizam Sani said the increase in membership to about 700,000 recently was the result of the club’s new image as well various offers for its members.

Kelab Nuri Bank Rakyat, offering a range of improvements to increase convenience and privileges, has also formed cooperation with various strategic partners.

“We are working together with industries related to education and tourism to enable our members to enjoy exclusive discounts.

“Fitting the image of the stylish, active and cheerful Nuri, Kelab Nuri Bank Rakyat prepares activities and programmes for the children and teenagers of today,” he told reporters here today.

The club utilising the concept of education and lifestyle has also extended the membership period until age 18 as compared to 12 previously, to allow its members to enjoy privileges longer.

The club membership fee is RM50 for the first year and RM10 for the subsequent years.

Among its privileges for members are cash prizes, Takaful protection of up to RM2,000, discounts from chosen commerce partners and priority in attending Kelab Nuri programmes.

For Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah, Pentaksiran Tingkatan 3 and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia candidates who are Kelab Nuri members, they can attend free tuition classes, examination workshops and receive recognition for excellence.

Registration for new members of Kelab Nuri starts tomorrow.

“Kelab Nuri Bank Rakyat puts education first, where members can join the ‘mega rakyat tuition classes’ in various locations every month for those sitting for major examinations.

“We will also organise a roadshow and mini carnival in Kedah, Johor and Kuala Lumpur starting this month,” Nizam said.
