Malaysia Airlines launches inaugural A350 XWB service to London

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) today commenced its inaugural A350-900 service from Kuala Lumpur to London with a send-off ceremony at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

In a statement released today, MAB said the MH4 departed KLIA at 9.15 am and will arrive London-Heathrow at 3.25pm the same day.

The passengers were greeted by MAB chief executive officer, Captain Izham Ismail and chief commercial officer, Arved von zur Muehlen in the aircraft.

All 255 passengers on MH4 were also treated to some cupcakes and goody bags at the boarding lounge.

MAB’s latest addition to its fleet, the A350 has a total capacity of 286 seats comprising four in First Class, 35 in Business Class and 247 in Economy Class.

MAB said the aircraft is equipped with its latest cabin products including more spacious seats in Economy Class, all-new inflight entertainment experience and inflight connectivity.
