KUALA LUMPUR: Putra Perdana Construction Sdn Bhd (PPC) recently secured a RM322 million contract from BBCC Development Sdn Bhd to construct the main building works of the Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC) – Parcel 2.
In a statement released today, PPC said the project would be the cradle of lifestyle revolution, complementing the cosmopolitan grandeur of future living.
The BBCC - Parcel 2, strategically situated on a 2.41-acre prime location within the Golden Triangle, is an integrated development in Kuala Lumpur.
It said the Parcel 2 of the BBCC project involves one block of 43-storey strata offices and another entertainment centre block.
The entertainment centre block will contain four floors of retail space and a Cineplex of two floors, one banquet hall floor, one main lobby floor, a music presentation centre, ample parking facilities and two floors of mezzanine hotel facilities.
The Parcel 2 construction of the project shall commence on 2 May 2018 and is expected to take 27 months to complete. The target completion date of this project is 1 August 2020.
PPC in a joint venture with Seri Libana Sdn Bhd, has also recently secured the contract to design and build the Pendang Hospital project in Kedah, with a contract value of RM210 million.
It was the third hospital project to be undertaken by the company having completed the Ramsay Sime Darby Desa Park City Medical Centre and currently undertaking the expansion works of the existing Tropicana Medical Centre in Kota Damansara.
Its chief executive officer Goh Ceah Chuang said the two projects will contribute positively to the company’s earnings.
With these projects, PPC’s current outstanding order book stands at about RM1.3 billion. The company has also submitted tenders for about RM5 billion worth of contracts.
PPC has also been accorded the five-star competitive rating by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for the Enhancement Programme (SCORE) recipients.
