KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit closed lower against the US dollar today, in line with other Asian currencies.
At 6pm, the local note was quoted at 3.9650/9700 against the US dollar, from yesterday’s close of 3.9540/9580.
Meanwhile, the ringgit traded mostly higher against a basket of other major currencies.
It rose against the Singapore dollar to 2.9530/9569 from 2.9578/9617; appreciated vis-a-vis the British pound to 5.3416/3500 from 5.3565/3635; and increased against the euro to 4.6811/6886 from 4.7155/7211.
However, it fell against the yen to 3.5993/6042 from 3.5972/6081 yesterday. -- BERNAMA
