KUALA LUMPUR: MBSB Bank Bhd has contributed RM1,000,000 to Tabung Harapan Malaysia (THM) as part of its social responsibility.
Represented by its chairman Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali and president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Ahmad Zaini Othman, the contribution was presented to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng and Treasury secretary general Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Bakar in Putrajaya today.
Ahmad Zaini said “this is our way of expressing patriotism to the country. Malaysia is our home and now, there is a need for us to join hands in donating to THM.”
On the country’s economic outlook, Ahmad Zaini said he is confident that it will continue to remain strong despite the current debt situation.
He also emphasised on the need for the bank to stay competitive in the banking industry.
“By the end of 2018, MBSB Bank will be providing key payment services to its customers as well as enabling local and overseas transactions and launching the Retail Internet Banking and Corporate Internet Banking.
“We are progressing positively and on track with the organisation’s key objectives which is to be a top progressive Islamic bank in the country,” he said.
