KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines has announced a discount of up to 30 per cent for domestic and international travel in conjunction with the MATTA Fair 2018 taking place from September 7 to 9, 2018 at the Putra World Trade Center (PWTC).
The national carrier is also offering other travel benefits, including 25 per cent discount on MH Insurance, extra baggage allowance, seat options and for the purchase of Golden Lounge access in Kuala Lumpur.
All fares, including for Economy Class, to international destinations range from RM699 to Hong Kong, RM1,059 (Nanjing), RM1,099 (Beijing), RM1,159 (Seoul), RM1,259 (Mumbai), RM1,299 (Kathmandu) , RM1,479 (Sydney), RM1,659 (Brisbane) and RM2,899 (London).
Malaysia Airlines chief procurement officer Ignatius Ong said the company's involvement in the event was proof of the long-term relationship with the Malaysian Association of Travel and Tourism Agents (MATTA) in working together to promote Malaysia's tourism and hospitality industry to customers and business partners.
"We hope customers can take the opportunity to plan their vacations in the future and buy Malaysia Airlines and Firefly flight tickets now before the end of the promotion," he said in a statement.
Malaysia Airlines also offers discounts ranging from 30 per cent for ASEAN travel with all fares ranging from as low as RM379 to Singapore, RM559 (Bangkok) and RM639 (Bali).
Domestic fares from Kuala Lumpur are also available from as low as RM279 to Penang, RM459 (Kuching) and RM559 (Kota Kinabalu).
All fares are valid for travel commencing from 9 September 2018 to 31 August 2019 for international travel and 7 September 2018 to 31 August 2019 for domestic and ASEAN destinations.
In conjunction with the event, Malaysia Airlines will hold various fun activities with top prizes including the opportunity to win a Business Class ticket to London and Seoul and four Economy Class tickets to Nanjing, Madras, Phnom Penh and Langkawi via the Buyer's Contest.
At the same time, lucky visitors also have the opportunity to win Firefly tickets to Penang, Langkawi, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Bharu and Johor Bahru.
